The problem is that the radio will not perform as expected without modifying the hardware.

Unless you know what you are doing, I would recommend to take the radio to a technician to perform this modification.

I need to use a model C in the ham radio range, in my case from 144 to 148 Mhz.

The C model starts from 148 MHz so it does not work for me.

Any ideas or experiences?
